Snacks are about to get in Tents. We’ve pulled together a round-up of some of our favorite recipe ideas for no mess, no spill snacks for kids and adults to enjoy in tents, or on the go. Because even though our canvas tents are super easy to clean even if something accidentally spills or sloshes, wouldn’t you rather spend your time with your feet up by the fire? Yes, us too. Now’s the hard part though …which one of these to snack on first?
Pumpkin Empanads
These tasty pumpkin hand pies are perfectly portable and will likely become a fast family favorite. They only take about an hour and a half to make, and can be modified to include other sweet or savory fillings. We’d say the best part is that they’ won’t leave so much as a crumb inside the tent, but honestly, the best part is simply how yummy they are!
Chocolate Chia Pudding Cups
Don’t be distracted by the fact that these are chock-full of super food goodness. Bottom line: CHOCOLATE. Easy to whip up inside individual jelly jar containers, then chill overnight, then eat inside the tent by the woodstove!
Charcuterie Cones
It’s a charcuterie board, without the board! Wrap up a cute paper cone (or use a waffle cone!) and fill it with your favorite breadsticks, meats, cheeses, fruits, and savories. It’s that simple. It’s that delicious. It’s, dare we say, char-cute!
No-Bake Granola Bars
Nothing quite says “no mess” like “no baking”! Kids of all ages will love the classic flavors that come together in these easy to make bars. Nothing to drip, spill, or splash. Just a tasty snack for in the tent, in the car, or on a hike!
Baked Cheese Crisps
Make these oh-so-satisfying crispy cheese bites with any of your favorite cheese, parmesan, pepper jack, cheddar, etc. Add spices if you’re feeling extra fun, pop in the oven for a few minutes, and voila! Tasty goodness that won’t leave a mess, but will definitely leave a smile!
